1. Hard Links Only (http://domainname.com/ or http://subdomain.domainname.com)
2. Text Links Are Preferred (our keyword focus is our domain name)
3. A Link Stays Up As Long As It Is Reciprocated (duh!)
4. Links will appear on our Link Page
The reason for our few, simple, but 100% non flexible rules are imposed on us, and you...
As everyone serious about blogging or managing a website knows, relevant back links are a vital part of improving page rank. However, with the introduction of Google's recent algorithms, and their continued reiterations, not all back links help with page rank. In fact, some can actually result in a blog or website being penalizing simply for having a back link found on the wrong site by a visiting SE bot.
Here at HeavilyTattooedGirls.com we welcome quality link exchanges. However, quality is dictated by Google and is subject to change at the search engine's whim. So the standards by which "quality" is judge may change as well, and most probably will, so I can't set out standards in writing. However, if your blog or website is of a quality design, free of broker links, is content rich, and relates to the overall tattoo niche, we want to exchange links.
Since there is as much chance of HeavilyTattooedGirls.com being penalized should a bot visit a poor quality, spammy website, or web directory flagged for selling back links, we are careful as to where a link to our site appears... as should you be. We will not employ automation in setting up link exchanges, nor sign up using an automated form. It's all about controlling backlink creation.
It is our goal to earn organic search engine traffic, and therefore it's all about pleasing Google. The only way to earn a high page rank (PR) and be well placed well on Google's search engine results page (SERP) is to manually review, approve, and then embed link exchanges. So, we use the form on the right to accept link exchange requests, and respond within two business days.
